2020 Rock Physics Workshop on Compaction, Pressolution, and Cementation

     Deep and ultra-deep oil & gas resources currently play a leading role in the petroleum industry of China. The corresponding deep reservoir rocks have experienced a combined process of compaction, pressolution, and cementation, which significantly impacts the petrophysical rock properties. Rock physics for these diagenetic processes is still poorly understood. Targeting at this issue, the 111 project ‘Deep and Ultra-deep Oil & Gas Geophysical Exploration’ in China University of Petroleum (East China) will initiate the 2020 Rock Physics Workshop on Compaction, Pressolution, and Cementation. We will invite international experts (online presentation) and domestic scholars (offline presentation) to discuss the rock physics of diagenetic processes. Excellent geoscientists from home and abroad are cordially invited to attend the workshop.
